The upgrade of the cooling system of the Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP

The Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP is the second largest in the country in production, trailing only the Zaporizhia NPP, with its three units producing 16% of all-electric power in Ukraine. As part of the project “Reconstruction of the service water system at Tashlyk reservoir and spray cooling ponds of the Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP”, the cooling system of the nuclear power plant is being upgraded.

Currently, three of five planned spray cooling ponds have been built. The Odesa plant supplied 90% of all cement needed for construction.
