The STARYI SAMBIR-2 wind farm in the Lviv region is a renewable energy project by the Karpatskyi Viter company, which is part of the Eco-Optima Group; it was implemented in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank Clean Technology Fund, Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) and the Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU).
In 2017, 10 wind turbines with a total capacity of 20.7 MW were put into operation. Mykolaivcement supplied cement for the construction of the foundation of the wind turbines.
