200 years of cement

On October 21, 2024, the global community celebrated the 200th anniversary of cement, the material that has become the foundation of modern construction and infrastructure. Two centuries of technological progress, engineering breakthroughs, and grandiose architectural projects have proven that cement is not just a building material, but the foundation on which megacities, bridges, roads, and industrial facilities are built.

This date has a special meaning for the CEMARK brand. For 25 years, we have been a part of the Ukrainian cement industry, introducing advanced technologies and providing high-quality material for the construction industry. Our mission is not only to continue the traditions of production, but also to shape the future by implementing environmentally responsible and innovative approaches.

It is the idea of cement as the basis for development and progress that is reflected in the poem created by our colleague:

ODE TO CEMENT

You come from the depths.
Saturated with the energy of millennia,
you are tempered by fire, by powerful mills
and the mill-balls, and thorough quality control,
so that later, in experienced hands,
to become the foundation of the world.
You are different and you sound different.
In your travels:
Like the sound of a track in the Beskydy tunnel,
that rushes me to the beauty of the Carpathians.
Like the music of my favorite country's roads, which is so dear to my heart.
You are the basis for the terminals,
that protect the wheat grown in the fields,
a pillar of water and wind energy, a reliable guardian against threats
whether man-made or hostile.
You are a wave of unity in your home stadiums,
You are the voice of future victories.
And even in Sofia, the Golden Gate, there is
a part of you.
And also in the homes where native walls are waiting for you
and the smell of mom's cherry pies are waiting for you.
You are invisible. But you are everywhere and everywhere.
You connect fates, smiles, hearts
through bridges and train stations...
You sound like music in concrete
in the hands of a skilled artist.
You are the runway for future Dreams,
that will definitely see the peaceful sky.
You are unusual, difficult.
You are the support,
the cement of the world we are confidently building
together!
