Odesa Cement Plant Conducts Mine Safety Training

On October 29, 2024, Odesa Cement Plant hosted a presentation on “Mine Safety in Odesa”, organized jointly with the Training and Methodological Center for Civil Protection and Life Safety of Odesa Region.

During the training, the plant's employees were provided with practical recommendations on how to act in case of detection of suspicious explosive items. Particular attention was paid to the risks that may arise outside the areas of active hostilities and response algorithms in such situations. Participants learned about the types of munitions, their main characteristics and potential threat to industrial facilities and civilian areas.

The need for such exercises is confirmed by practical experience: in March 2024, an explosive object was discovered on the plant's territory. Thanks to the clear actions of employees and the prompt response of the State Emergency Service and the police, the threat was averted without negative consequences.
