Record for minimizing CO2 emissions

In September 2024, CEMARK achieved the lowest CO2 emissions in the history of its operations. This was made possible by the introduction of the latest technologies and the active use of alternative fuels.

The main achievements were:

  • Replacement of fossil fuels with alternative sources. The share of alternative fuels in September amounted to 19.4%, which is a new record for the company (the previous maximum was 17.92% in June 2024).
  • Reduced clinker content in cement. The clinker level decreased to 71.3%, which is the lowest on record (in July 2024 - 71.4%, in 2021 - 76.1%).
  • Reduction of specific CO2 emissions. In September, the specific CO2 emissions amounted to 578 kg/t of cement, which is significantly less compared to 645 kg/t in 2021 and 588 kg/t in May 2024.

These results confirm the effectiveness of the company's environmental strategy. CEMARK continues to implement innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impact of its production.
