Visit of college and vocational school principals to Podilsky Cement Plant
On August 12, an important event within the EdUP project took place at Podilsky Cement Plant, which was attended by 18 directors of Ukrainian vocational schools. The visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and business, as well as developing the profession of concrete worker and improving the skills of specialists.
During the event, the guests got acquainted with modern cement production technologies, visited production workshops and talked to experts. They got an idea of the scale of production, innovative technologies and environmental standards that ensure high quality products.
The event was made possible thanks to a Memorandum of Cooperation signed on July 30, 2024, between Podilsky Cement JSC and the EdUP project, which is being implemented in partnership with the Swiss technical cooperation foundation Swisscontact.
During the visit, the plant's chief engineer, Yurii Hrybachov, presented information about CRH and CEMARK in Ukraine, as well as plans and development prospects. Anastasia Belograd, Head of Technical Marketing and Innovation, emphasized the importance of updating vocational specialties, and Natalia Turchak, Industrial Project Manager, spoke about the student program for working specialties.
After the tour, the guests had the opportunity to talk to HR Manager Oresta Ambriz and Head of Environmental Protection Kostiantyn Levytskyi, which allowed them to deepen their understanding of business processes and get answers to their questions.
The visit was an important step in the development of cooperation between education and industry and opens up new opportunities for training highly qualified specialists.
