Assistant Cement Mill Operator

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the mills, monitoring the serviceable condition of the equipment being serviced;
  • Cleaning the inlet necks of the mills from material sticking and possible blockages;
  • Checking the condition of working platforms, drives, grates, scraper conveyors, fans, starters, drives, fences, tensioning devices, ladders, walkways, etc. and informing the shift supervisor in case of discrepancies / malfunctions;
  • Controlling the availability and serviceability of protective and guarding devices on all conveyors, moving elements of equipment, etc;
  • Checking the serviceability of existing alarms and control and measuring devices;
  • During the shift, monitor the indicators of control and measuring devices, the operation of separators and auxiliary equipment. If violations are detected, inform the cement mill operator and follow his instructions;
  • Monitor signals that warn of danger, and take personal safety measures;
  • Before the end of the shift, carry out preventive cleaning (blowing) of conveyors from dust, control the condition of the sealing devices of the mills.  Participation in sorting, loading and reloading of mills with grinding media;
  • Within the framework of his/her functional responsibilities, fulfillment of individual assignments of the immediate supervisor related to the work of the structural unit/position and additional functions in the absence of other employees of the structural unit/position.

Key functional competencies:

  • Secondary vocational education in the relevant field of study;
  • Discipline, responsibility, ability to exchange information, politeness, tactfulness.
