Results of the WOMAY initiative: supporting women's health at CEMARK
In May 2024, CEMARK presented the WOMAY initiative, declaring the third month of spring as the Women's Health Month. The name “WOMAY” combines two words: Woman and May, emphasizing the importance of this month for women, in particular through Mother's Day and International Women's Health Day.
The goal of WOMAY is to remind people of the importance of prevention, regular medical check-ups, and taking care of their health. The initiative was launched as an annual tradition aimed at supporting a balanced and healthy lifestyle for women at CEMARK.
In May, the following events were held as part of the WOMAY initiative:
A webinar on “Women's lives during the war” with Natalia Leliukh, who shared tips on how to maintain mental and physical health under stress. The topics included the impact of war on women's health, menstrual disorders, changes in cancer screening programs, as well as risks for pregnant women and diabetes prevention.
A seminar on breast cancer prevention with Dr. Olga Beheza. She spoke about modern methods of prevention, screening and early detection of breast cancer, which is key to maintaining women's health.
The initiative's events helped raise awareness among CEMARK women about the importance of taking care of their own health. WOMAY was an important step in creating a culture of self-care and support for women's health in the corporate environment.
